Meet our animals
-

Bernie
This fun-loving cow is the troublemaker of the farm. He gets into everything and loves making the llamas mad by eating their food. Until we moved him and the other cows to their own pasture, he was spit on daily, and it never phased him! He’s lively, attention-loving, and full of personality. Everyone who comes to the farm falls in love with this gentle giant.
-

Finny
Finny is my biggest guard at the farm. He protects the goats, turkeys, and guineas. You might be lucky enough to sneak in a butt scratch every now and then, but this big boy is all business with a job to do. He’s not aggressive or mean, but he doesn’t love attention. He also acts like a fool when it’s time for his summer shave.
-

Karen
Karen has her name for a reason. She’s up in everyone’s business with a lot to say. She’s actually super friendly and a very lively member of the flock. She’s a Polish, and they are known to be spazzy because they can’t see well due to their big bouffant hair! She gets regular haircuts so she can see her fellow flock members and keep an eye out for predators.
-

Billy Bob
This is our stud right here! He’s super friendly and loving. He takes very good care of the ladies he gets to breed with. He’s a gentle giant who loves belly scratches. He comes when you call him and is full of personality.
-

Boots
This little one-pounder is the biggest jerk on the farm! He’s one of five roosters and has an attitude 24/7. He’s a bantam, so he feels he has a point to prove because of his small size. Believe it or not, he has established his place with the fellow bachelors somewhere in the middle. You would think he’d be at the low end of the pecking order, but he’s actually right in the middle. He’s a fierce, indignant little rooster, and he tests my patience daily with his frequent attacks.
-

Leonard
Leonard was born on the farm along with his twin, Levi. He follows his mama everywhere. He loves pets and snuggles, and he’s obsessed with animal crackers. He’s also one of the babies who will let me pet him on a regular basis.
-

Peaches
This sweet little lady is one of the best mamas I’ve ever seen! She is fierce and protective when she has a litter of piglets. When she’s not being a mom, she loves booty scratches and ear rubs. She frequently tells off the other pigs in her area, but she’s all bark and no bite.
-

Huey
Huey was also born here on the farm with his twin, Louie. He’s very curious, but he won’t let me pet him. He loves a good animal cracker and spends his days foraging and being a baby goat with his herd.
-

Cash
Cash was one of the first four pigs that started the hobby farm. He was very sick when I got him, and it took lots of vet visits to get him back to health. He had less than a 30% chance of survival, but we were both determined. He’s thriving today! He is super sweet and affectionate with me, and he plops down so I can give him belly scratches. However, he can be a little mean to some of the littles and likes to run them around. They’re used to him!
-

Dolly
Dolly is all attitude, but she’s an amazing chicken mama! She bosses all the other chickens around and makes sure her babies stay in check.
-

Ringo
Ringo is a mini Highland–Hereford mix. He started out as a bull but was getting a little rambunctious and had quite an attitude with those horns. Sometimes he would even try to charge me. That got him steer status real quick! Now he loves booty and head scratches. Also, before his steer status, he somehow managed to get Cookie pregnant, so he’s now a dad!
-

Kenny
Because of the beard, we thought this was a tom. Nope, it’s a hen, so yes, the hen’s name is Kenny! She is super sweet. She loves to be petted and follows the goats and other turkeys around the pasture. She can be a little spicy since she’s the oldest of all the flock members and keeps them all in check!
-

Hank
Hank is the daddy to Cash, Bo, and Spots. He did not have the best life before he came to me, so building trust has been a work in progress. He’s very friendly but terrified of being touched. I’ve only recently been able to sneak in a couple of booty rubs. He has really blossomed since being at the farm. He has opened up and really enjoys the sun and pool time.
-

Levi
Ok, ok, I know I’m not supposed to have favorites, but Levi is one of them! He is Leonard’s twin. For some reason, his mama rejected him, and he became my bottle baby. He is spoiled rotten and follows me all over the farm. He loves to be petted, snuggled, and held. He rides around on the side-by-side and has even left the farm to go to the occasional bonfire! He is also incredibly smart and a little Houdini, always getting out of his pasture to come find me.
-

Reggie
Oh, I love me some Reggie! Reggie was supposed to be a hen. Anyone who has chickens knows that can happen from time to time. I was so excited to find out he was actually a rooster! His hair cracks me up, and he has the personality to match it. He’s one of my five roosters and is very lively. He has a lot to say. He’s super skittish around me but not with the ladies. He loves being outside, eating bugs, and dust bathing.
-

Archie
Archie was a huge surprise! All our cattle are steers. Apparently sneaky Ringo got the job done just prior to going from a bull to a steer. Don’t ask me how because mama is twice his size! That’s how this little bundle of joy happened. He’s super sweet, loves his mama and gets the zooomies frequently!
-

Big Roo
This is my top rooster right here! Super sweet and such a gentleman with the ladies. He puts all the other roosters in their place! Roosters signal to the ladies called “tidbitting” which is a series of soft quick clucks to show them there are treats or food. The ladies come running. If he could open doors for them he most certainly would.
-

Cinnamon
This sweet little girl has had twin babies since being with us, Cashew and Peanut. They look just like her! She is not one of the goats that loves to be pet but she is super friendly and a great mama. She will eat animal crackers from your hand and loves to chill around the pasture laying with her babies.
-

Betty Boop aka tumbleweed
This little ball of fire is all sass! She has an attitude 24-7 and is one of Boot’s ladies due to her small size. She goes broody frequently and hates when I don’t let her sit in a nesting box 24-7. She’s quite hilarious as she is perfectly round with no tail, hence the nickname Tumbleweed.
-

Edom
This sweet girl is such a doll! She is one of our up and coming breeders. She frequently frolics in excitement when she sees us coming. She loves a good ear and butt scratch. She is one that will roll over to get the full experience of a belly rub. She also has full on conversations with her oinks and is such a joy at the ranch.
-

Helen
Helen is the true dog of turkeys. She will sit right at your feet until you acknowledge her and give her some love. She will crawl in your lap to get attention. She even closes her eyes when getting loved on and will follow you when you leave to get as much head scratches as possible.
-

Louie
This is one of my smallest goats. He is so sweet! He was born here at the ranch. His brother is Huey. He will crawl up my leg when he knows I have animals crackers but runs if I try to pet him. He’s very somber and super sweet.
-

Earl
This is my biggest rooster but not my top rooster. You can fin him frequently chasing the ladies to do you know what! Big Roo put him in his place frequently. He is actually a super sweet rooster and also summons the ladies by “tidbitting” if he finds a snack!
-

Riggins
This is the baby in the house! Super sweet and very sensitive. He gets his feelings hurt very easily. He does not like it when he gets in trouble. He is definilty our counter thief! If you are missing your readers, gloves, or even AirPods they are probably in the backyard! At least he doesn’t chew them! He just likes to relocate things. He sleeps in our bed and loves to be snuggled and loved on.
-

Rip
When you think of a cattle dog, think of Rip. He’s deeply devoted, thriving on one-on-one time and turns jealous when his beloved human dad shares attention with the other dogs. Fiercely protective of his family and territory, he sounds the alarm with a piercing, high pitched bark and isn’t afraid to nip at an intruders heels or hands. This cattle dog is a bundle of intense energy and unwavering loyalty, embodying the breed’s classic herding instincts to a tee.
-

Lexington AKA Lexi or Sister
This is my sweet lil’ ole lady right here! She used to be a real handful but in her older age she has mellowed out and became very sweet. However, don’t be fooled, she is the alpha in the house and a fierce warrior when needed.
