OUR STORY

Double D’s Ranch began with a simple love for animals and a dream for open space. For years we searched for land that felt right, something that offered both pasture and peace. My husband had his list of must-haves, and I just wanted room for my chickens and a little freedom from city life and HOA rules. When we found this property, it checked every box, and within 45 days we were home.

What started as four pigs quickly grew into a full family of animals. Today we care for pigs, goats, llamas, cows, turkeys, guineas, and a very lively flock of chickens. Each animal brings its own joy, personality, and purpose to the ranch.

My husband, an avid hunter and hands-on caretaker, manages the production side while I care for the hobby farm. My background is in ER nursing, and although I have since moved into cosmetic injectables and real estate, the farm gave me something I didn’t realize I was missing: a deeper sense of purpose.

The quiet of the country was an adjustment at first, but once the animals arrived, everything changed. They filled the days with life, laughter, and meaning. What began as a hobby became a calling to care for God’s creation with love, respect, and gratitude.

Three years later, the farm continues to grow and evolve, reminding us daily that happiness is found in simple things, faith, family, hard work, and the joy of watching life flourish all around us.

“What began as a search for land became a lesson in faith, gratitude, and the simple joy of caring for God’s creation.”
